A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific email mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it’ll take literally only a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain registered in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature instantly, so all emails sent to mistyped email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button once again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature until you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated without any effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a small icon conveniently situated right next to each one. With just one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the context menu that will surface. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
