Password Protected Directories in Cloud Hosting
Creating a password-protected area will take no more than a few mouse clicks and a few seconds when you host your websites within a cloud hosting account with us. You will not have to do anything complicated - you'll need to choose a domain/subdomain, to select which folder under it has to be protected, and then to enter the login name and password that will be used to access that folder. In case a number of people need their own login details, there shall not be a problem to create numerous different usernames with access to the exact same folder. All protected folders shall appear with a padlock icon within the File Manager section, so you shall always know where this option is activated. If you'd like to turn off the protection function for any folder, you can deactivate it from the same exact section of the CP where you have enabled it.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Servers
It will take just a few clicks to enable the password protection function for any folder you have, in case you use one of our Linux semi-dedicated plans. We have a very effective tool, that has a user-friendly point-and-click interface and which can be used by people without experience. It's a part of the Hepsia Control Panel, that you will get to manage your new account and once you log in and check out the Password Protection section, you shall be able to choose the domain or subdomain which should be protected and then the particular folder - either the main folder or any subfolder under it. You'll also see 2 boxes in which you will have to input the login name and the password that'll be required to access the folder in question and you'll be good to go. By following the exact same steps, you will be able to set up many different login credentials for the exact same folder to give several individuals their own username/password. All secured folders will have a small padlock sign in the File Manager section.
